Chloe Qisha shows vulnerable side in new offering ‘Surprise Surprise’
The popstar-in-waiting’s latest track is a tone-shifting, melancholy ballad.

Chloe Qisha has continued her recent run of stellar singles with new cut ‘Surprise Surprise’ - a song that sees her depart from the earworm pop of ‘YDH’ and ‘So Sad So Hot’ in favour of heartsore balladry and emotional candour.
Landing in the wake of her 2025 second EP ‘Modern Romance’, ‘Surprise Surprise’ has been described by Chloe as “want[ing] to be the 3 minutes of affirmation you’d recite to get yourself out of that toxic relationship, but instead she catches your self-sabotage out in real-time and will soundtrack your life… as you run back to them.”
Speaking about the different mood of ‘Surprise Surprise’, the rapidly rising star has explained: “Generally, I love a ‘sad happy’ song - but this one’s just sad. It’s definitely a different side to me that I think is important to share, and it touches upon a really interesting concept that I’ve been writing a lot about in this next project of mine - which is that ‘push’ and ‘pull’ between instinct and reason - I love to capture the rawest moments of a feeling in my songs, even if its an ugly one.”
