Chloe Slater announces debut album with bittersweet lead single ‘Southern Youth’
The LP - entitled ‘Riot Youth’ - will land on 9th October.

Having returned last month with scorching single ‘Ugly’, Chloe Slater has now confirmed that her debut album, ‘Riot Youth’ is due to arrive on 9th October via Stolen Juice (AWAL).
It’ll land in the wake of a pair of socially-conscious, lyrically-astute EPs (2025’s ‘Love Me Please’ and 2024’s ‘You Can’t Put A Price On Fun’), and has been officially launched by way of new track ‘Southern Youth’, which finds Chloe reflecting on her experience of “the classic angsty teenager to homesick adult pipeline.”
Explaining more about her South coast upbringing, Chloe reflects: “Bournemouth is a beautiful seaside town, but I think it’s easy as a teen to feel trapped in your hometown, where the new bands rarely come and play, the winters leave the town almost deserted, and the nickname is ‘God’s waiting room’.
“Since I was sixteen I’ve been pretty desperate to live in a city, and I moved to Manchester as soon as I got the chance. After experiencing life in the city, I suppose in a lot of ways I feel more grateful to have grown up there now than I did when I left.”
Across its 10 tracks, ‘Riot Youth’ promises to dig into notions of political disillusionment and community disintegration, facing the facts of what it means to be Gen Z while never losing an inherent sense of hope in the future.

What’s more, Chloe has also revealed that she’ll be marking the arrival of ‘Riot Youth’ with her biggest headline tour yet, which spans shows across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
