Chvrches air new track ‘Leave A Trace’

Following the announcement of their new second album ‘Every Open Eye’ earlier today, Chvrches have shared the first preview. ‘Leave a Trace’ got its first airing on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show as her Hottest Record.

“I was quite conscious of not wanting to write an album about being on the road and shows, cos that’s not very exciting for anyone,” Lauren Mayberry told Annie Mac.”Its a bit intense and crazy, and we wanted to block that out and get back to what we’re suppose to be doing, which is writing.”

She added that new record ‘Every Open Eye’ delves into a “backlog of emotion”

‘Every Open Eye’ is due out 25th September via Glassnote / Universal. The follow-up to ‘The Bones of What You Believe’ was recorded at Glasgow’s Alucard Studios, and its release date was confirmed by Australian site Sanity.
