It looks like The National’s Matt Berninger will feature on the new Chvrches album
A track called ‘My Enemy’ briefly popped up on streaming services.
At the end of January, Chvrches returned with new single ‘Get Out’, the first taster of their upcoming third album.
According to Stereogum, a recent interview with Lauren Mayberry then confirmed the new record, teased on the band’s socials as #CHV3, is set to be called ‘Love Is Dead’, and it’s also set to feature a very special collaboration.
Eagle-eyed fans on Reddit’s Indieheads page pointed out that a new song called ‘My Enemy’, featuring Matt Berninger of The National, popped up on streaming service Deezer, along with what looks like the artwork for ‘Love Is Dead’.
Berninger appeared in a teaser video before the release of ‘Get Out’, posting a billboard with the words ‘Friend or foe’.
The pair have teamed up at a number of National shows, with Lauren performing the band’s 2013 track ‘I Need My Girl’ at numerous shows, including at The National’s headline slot at Latitude 2016.
