Cloud Nothings bring papier mache heads to ‘Now Hear In’ video
Toro Y Moi’s bassist Patrick Jeffords stars in this clip.
It looks as if one of the members of Arcade Fire’s ‘Relfketor’ world tour entourage called it quits, stormed off the road and went on a freakout trip of his own. That’s at least what’s depicted in the slightly nightmarish visual assault of Cloud Nothings’ ‘Now Hear In’ video.
This poor, lonely papier mache head character hangs out on a beach on his own, swans around on a swing with no company, climbs fences and circuits city streets - again, completely without any friends. But there’s a slight twinge to his blanket papier mache face that suggests maybe - just maybe - he might be enjoying himself.
The man behind the head? It’s only Toro Y Moi’s very own bassist Patrick Jeffords, giving his very best Michael Fassbender/‘Frank’ impression.
