Cold Pumas return with ‘Fugue States’ from new album ‘The Hanging Valley’

Four years on from debut album ‘Persistent Malaise’, Brighton’s Cold Pumas are back with a new LP.

‘The Hanging Valley’ is due 1st July via Faux Discx / Gringo. It was recorded in October 2014 at Mark ‘Mug Jasper’s Sound Savers studio in “predictable Homerton”, London.

Spanning thirty-eight minutes, the record’s being led by ‘Fugue States’, a track defined by the repeated stabs of frustration ever-present in their 2012 debut.

According to the band, the album consists of “at least 33.% shimmering, inward, mulch-heavy ballads” and “a sensitivity that does nothing for the craft beer revolution.” The remaining 66.6% “threatens to look equally indifferent when served on a wooden board or beside a miniature stainless steel plant pot of hand-cut triple-cooked fried, but such is life.” By the sounds of it, that persistent malaise hasn’t faded, chaps.
