The Magic Gang’s Jack Kaye announces debut EP ‘Go Easy’
News of the former frontman’s first EP follows on from last month’s debut single, ‘Dora’.

Former frontman of The Magic Gang, Jack Kaye has followed up his debut single release with the news of a brand new EP, titled ‘Go Easy’.
Landing a month on from the release of his debut solo effort ‘Dora’ - which doubled as his first musical foray since the beloved band parted ways two years ago - the singer has now confirmed plans to release a five-track debut EP on 14th August via Fascination Street Records. Featuring appearances from some of his old bandmates, Angus Taylor and Paeris Giles, ‘Go Easy’ will also include contributions from Asya Fairchild and George Boorman.
As well as sharing the news of his forthcoming EP, Jack has also offered up another taste of it in the form of poignant offering ‘The Weight’. “There were lots of big life changes that happened for me around the same time,” Jack has said, of the track. “The end of the band kind of signalled that, and the wave of real, adult life knocked me back a bit. It’s about coming to terms with the responsibility of real life; earning a living outside of the band, starting a family… I was also thinking about my Dad, and the ways I want to be like him as a parent, and the things I’d like to do differently. So that’s in there as well.”
