Conor Oberst’s Desaparecidos air video for ‘City on the Hill’
Track is taken from first album in thirteen years, ‘Payola’.
Desaparecidos have shared a “public service announcement” in the form of their surreal, news footage-crammed video, ‘City on the Hill’.
A berserk statement on America, the clip combines ‘90s footage with archive oddities. Rob Stoucy directs the clips, which you can watch below.
Desaparecidos release their first album in thirteen years, ‘Payola’, on 22nd June. The new album follows 2002’s ‘Read Music / Speak Spanish’, and a couple of reunion tours, the latest being back in 2013. Desaparecidos are set to play at this year’s Coachella - no European dates have been announced (yet).
The new album was co-produced by Mike Mogis, with Against Me’s Laura Jane Grace amongst the guests, alongside So So Glos and Cursive’s Tim Kasher.
