Courtney Barnett and Father John Misty set to play Glastonbury 2015
Emily Eavis reveals the bookings in a new interview.
Courtney Barnett and Father John Misty have become the latest names to be announced for this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Festival organiser Emily Eavis revealed the names in an interview with eFestivals about the festival, in which she also ruled out the heavily rumoured Coldplay for a headline slot on the Pyramid Stage.
Talking about Barnett, who is to release her debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’ this month, Eavis said: “I’m not entirely sure what slot she’s going to be in yet, but she’ll definitely be there”.
Barnett played two sets at last year’s Glastonbury, performing on the John Peel Stage and then at the Park, and Eavis also revealed that Father John Misty is also set to appear at this year’s bash, labelling him “my new Courtney Barnett this year for The Park”.
The two new names join Lionel Richie and headliners Foo Fighters in being confirmed for the event, which runs from 26th-28th June. The Dalai Lama is also expected to appear, with a date at the festival appearing on his website.
The full Glastonbury line-up is expected soon. Check out DIY’s predictions for 2015’s headliners and watch Courtney Barnett play ‘Out Of The Woodwork’ at last year’s festival below.
