Courtney Barnett shares teaser video ‘Courtney Stays Home…’
The clue’s in the dozing musician’s alarm clock - it’s probably a teaser for ‘Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go to the Party’s video.
Courtney Barnett’s shared a new teaser video online. Titled ‘Courtney Stays Home…’ the Gabriel Gomez-directed clip stars a very dozy Courtney Barnett napping in the last minute before a 7am wake-up call. And, if this clip is anything to go by, her alarm clock is ‘Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go to the Party’ - one of the many gems about reluctant introversion on her debut album.
The clue’s in the alarm clock, and it’s probably a tease that a video for ‘Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go to the Party’ is on the way. ‘Dead Fox’, ‘Kim’s Caravan’, ‘Depreston’, and ‘Pedestrian At Best’ - all from her debut ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’ - all have videos to match already.
“I have always worked to a weird time, with weird hours,” Courtney Barnett told DIY - which perhaps explains her adverse reaction to the early morning alarm. Read the full interview here, and watch teaser clip ‘Courtney Stays Home’ below.
