Cults share a video for ‘I Took Your Picture’

The clip adds a new outro to the recently unveiled single.

Recently, Cults unveiled ‘I Took Your Picture’, a new single from their forthcoming album ‘Offering’, their first album in four years.

Now they’ve got a new video for the track, directed by Elliott Sellers. But hang on. This version is called ‘I Took Your Picture With My Eyes Closed’. Not only is that an awkward way to take a photo of someone, that’s also not the original title of the song. It turns out that this is something of an extended version, with a second track, ‘With My Eyes Closed’, forming the coda to the single itself.

It naturally follows that the video is almost split into two as well. In the first half, we’re almost entirely confined to a house, where Madeline Follin dances around as she’s being creepily stalked. She goes down to the woods in the second half, where she gets abducted by aliens. We think it’s safe to say that it wasn’t Madeline’s day.
