Daphne and Celeste are back! Pair return with Max Tundra-produced new single
Watch the video for ‘You And I Alone’, Daphne and Celeste’s first single in fifteen years.
It’s actually happened. The most bonkers pop comeback of our time - Daphne and Celeste are back, returning with ‘You and I Alone’, their first single in fifteen years.
Karen DiConcetto and Celeste Cruz have teamed up with producer Max Tundra for their comeback. Find out all about why they’re back - and the bonkers plans they have in store - with DIY’s new interview.
Speaking to Tom Connick, the pair are promising banjos (sorry Mumfords, not your territory anymore), some slightly less soaked festival appearances and a re-jig of their own material, like smash hit singles ‘Ooh Stick You’ and ‘UGLY!. Needless to say, they still give one hell of an interview - example quote: “What’s going on with Reading these days? Is it still as hard as it was?”
Watch the comeback video for ‘You and I Alone’ below, featuring enough Max Tundra cameos to make him an official third member. The video’s directed by Seaquences.
Tundra pens the track, which is built on fancy cryptic lyrics like, “Flipping a cartwheel in a show home as they analyse it” and “Black dice, Kandy Korn / Piper at the gates of dawn” - no idea, mate.
Daphne and Celeste’s ‘You And I Alone’ is available on iTunes and as a 7” single on Balatonic.
