Dave Grohl isn’t a fan of TV talent shows

“Imagine Bob Dylan standing there singing ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ in front of those judges? ‘Sorry, it’s a little nasally and a little flat. Next.’”

It may be an easy target, but Dave Grohl isn’t a massive fan of TV talent shows - and for a pretty sensible sounding reason.

As Billboard reports, while taking to Anderson Cooper on CBS’ 60 Minutes show, the Foo Fighters frontman believes he “would never make it” past the auditions.

“Who’s to say they’re not good or not?” Grohl said. “Imagine Bob Dylan standing there singing ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ in front of those judges? ‘Sorry, it’s a little nasally and a little flat. Next.’ “

“People need to appreciate their voice, I don’t want to sing like someone else, I want to sing like me.”

Foo Fighters’ new album ‘Sonic Highways’ is due next month. Check out the most recent track from the release, ‘The Feast and The Famine’ below.
