David Bowie releases teaser for ‘Lazarus’ single
New track’s coming this Thursday.
Following the sprawling epic of lead track ‘Blackstar’ and its accompanying short film, David Bowie’s teasing more new material from the album of the same name.
The second single from the new album, ‘Lazarus’ is a set to premiere this Thursday (December 17th) ahead of a full release the following day. Before that, though, Bowie’s shared 15 seconds of the track in a preview clip which you can check out below. “Look up here, I’m in heaven,” he croons amongst serrated guitars, “I’ve got scars that can’t be seen.” The full track’ll see a premiere on BBC 6Music on Thursday at 5:15pm (that’s UK time, folks).
The track features on the aforementioned ‘Blackstar’, Bowie’s recently announced new album. That’s set for release on his 69th birthday, otherwise known as January 8th 2016, and it features James Murphy and influence from Kendrick Lamar. Catch up with the DIY verdict on the title-track right here.
