David Bowie shares theme for ‘The Last Panthers’
Watch a trailer for the show, which uses an excerpt of Bowie’s ‘Blackstar’ song.
David Bowie and director Johan Renck have teamed up on the theme for new Canal+ / Sky Atlantic show, ‘The Last Panthers’.
Streaming below, the short theme uses an excerpt from a brand new Bowie track, ‘Blackstar’. According to Renck, Bowie suggested using the song when the director spoke about the show’s themes. “We discussed the various aspects of the show; naturally the plot line, but also the underlying currents of guilt and personality flaws. We talked about the dark heart of Europe. We talked about the biblical aspects of human nature,” he says.
