Death Cab for Cutie take a tour of celeb homes in ‘The Ghosts of Beverly Drive’ video
Ben Gibbard leads an unsettling trip about the “disconnect” of L.A.
Members of Death Cab for Cutie help lead their very own tour of L.A’s celebrity homes in a new video for ‘The Ghosts of Beverly Drive’.
Directed by Robert Hales, the clip sees starstruck punters being driven around the city by bassist Nick Harmer. Drummer Jason McGerr is on ticket duty, while Ben Gibbard does the talking, detailing the various hotspots that circuit these gold-paved streets.
Exploring the “disconnect” of the city, the video played out in strange reality, where some staged shots gave way to moments of actual reflection.
“For every great thing about the city and the experience of living there, there is an offsetting negative that, for me, makes my feelings about L.A. a net zero in terms of personal connection,” Hales told Rolling Stone.
