Watch Declan McKenna shares surreal new video for ‘My House’
The track doubles as Declan’s most recent piece of new music since the release of ‘Zeros’.
Declan McKenna has shared a surreal new video clip for his recently-released track ‘My House’.
The video, which sees Declan perched atop his titular house as it floats atop a body of water, accompanies his first new music since the release of his second album ‘Zeros’, which landed back in September last year.
Speaking of the track itself, the singer has said: “I’m used to feeling isolated from people I want to see, it’s been a big part of my life since I was a teenager touring and so on. With ‘My House’ I was diving into this daydream of running away and becoming reconnected. I was just having fun on a sunny spring morning making the best out of what soon wouldn’t feel so restful and calm. But it’s a light-hearted song and for me it is just that - remembering what it is to be lost in your thoughts in a good way, like being a child again.”
The video also lands ahead of Declan’s appearance at this weekend’s Latitude Festival.
