UK rapper Kieren Gallear aka DELS has returned with news of his second album, ‘Petals Have Fallen’, and he’s brought with him an impressive cast.
Kwes is behind the record on the production desk, named a “reducer” in the process. There’s also a backdrop of beats lent by Micacu and Bonobo, and on ‘RGB’ (the record’s lead track), he’s picked up a live drum section from GEoRGiA, whose debut EP came out last week.
Mind you, it’s Gallear who steals the spotlight, quipping on “post-internet” malaise, apathy being stamped on. “Here’s my cake, who wants some?” he spits, sounding pumped on his own confidence.
Across the record, guest spots arrive in the form of Rosie Love, Tirzah, Elan Tamara and BILA.
‘Petals Have Fallen’ comes out via Big Dada on 3rd November. Pre-order here.
