Demob Happy unveil new single, ‘Young & Numb’
Dagger-sharp dissonance has a new soundtrack - plus see the Brighton band’s UK dates.
Cut to a couple of weeks back, Demob Happy were announcing themselves as one of the year’s biggest hopes with a set at DIY’s Hello 2015, filling London’s The Old Blue Last with a controlled take on chaos.
New single ‘Young & Numb’ is a fine example of the Brighton group’s dastardly to and fro. They can go from space-filling, saw-toothed verses to a screaming, pop punk-nodding chorus with the flick of a switch. If Demob Happy were ever on the run, they’d be in the Most Wanted list in no time.
