Fresh from announcing their new album ‘Palo Santo’, we’re delighted to welcome Years & Years to the cover of the new issue of DIY, out now!

“It talks a lot about how the club is like a church; a church for gay people to go and dance, and I was like, yes!” Olly Alexander tells us in this month’s cover feature. “This is putting into words how I’ve been feeling for so long, and what I’ve been trying to communicate in music. It really inspired me to write a lot.

“When I see dancers, their body is their medium. The art is their body. What an amazing embodiment of creativity, to literally be your limbs and your expression and movement! I’ve always been enchanted by dance.

Olly is joined in the new issue by Parquet Courts, who return with their finest moment yet on ‘Wide Awake!’, and Courtney Barnett, who lays it all on the line with ‘Tell Me How You Really Feel’.
