Dolly Parton’s hinting at a Jack White collaboration
The Country music legend fancies working with The White Stripes frontman, apparently.

In today’s unofficial instalment of slightly-odd-but-bonkers-brilliant news story of the day, Dolly Parton is hinting at a collaboration with Jack White.
“I love him to death,” she said, speaking to The Guardian. “[The White Stripes] did one of the greatest versions ever of ‘Jolene,’” she added, referring to their 2004 cover of one of her biggest country-western bangers yet. “I had a chance to have dinner with Jack in LA not long ago and we talked about the possibility of someday down the road that we may get together to do something.”
It’s not yet clear whether this collaboration will consist of working 9-5, or something more informal.
“I haven’t had time to sit down and really focus with someone else on an album,” Dolly added. “But he would be someone wonderful. And I think we would make some beautiful music together.”
Jack White hasn’t responded to Dolly Parton’s offer as of yet, but he’d be a damn fool to turn it down. Listen to The White Stripes’ cover of ‘Jolene’ below.
