Dr Dre tops Official Albums Chart with ‘Compton’
First album in sixteen years gets the top spot by over 28,000 copies.
Dr Dre has topped the UK’s Official Albums Chart with ‘Compton’, his first album in sixteen years.
The follow-up to 1999’s ‘2001’ is Dre’s first UK number one, selling 28,000 more copies than #2, Frank Turner’s ‘Positive Songs For Negative People’. Ed Sheeran, Years & Years and Sam Smith complete the top five.
Elsewhere, new entries come from Don Broco (#6 with ‘Automatic’) and Mac DeMarco, who scores his first Top 40 album with mini-LP ‘Another One’.
Julio Bashmore’s ‘Knockin’ Boots’ is at #25 and Fear Factory’s ‘Genexus’ is at #31.
