Dr. Dre’s ‘Compton’ soundtrack on course for UK Number 1
Comeback album is outselling the rest of the top five.
Dr. Dre’s ‘Compton’ album - a last-minute comeback release - is currently top of the UK Official Albums Chart, according to midweek figures.
The release is outselling the rest of the top five combined, ahead of Frank Turner’s new album ‘Positive Songs for Negative People’ and Don Broco’s ‘Automatic’. Years & Years and Ed Sheeran complete the top five.
‘Compton’ has been available exclusively on the Dre-endorsed Apple Music - it’s his first album since 1999’s ‘2001’.
In the Official Singles Chart, Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor’s ‘Marvin Gaye’ is heading for the top spot, ahead of Calvin Harris & Disciples’ ‘How Deep Is Your Love’. The Weeknd continues to climb the chart with ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, at #3 in the midweeks.
Festival special! Featuring Wolf Alice, Kasabian, Lykke Li, Marmozets, Genesis Owusu and more.
