Editors Album Details Confirmed, First Single Aired
Watch the band’s new video for lead track, ‘A Ton Of Love’.

Editors have announced that their new album - titled ‘The Weight Of Your Love’ - will be released on 1st July, through Play It Again Sam. It’s the follow up to their 2009 effort, ‘In This Light And On This Evening’.
They’ve also debuted the first track from the release, a single called ‘A Ton Of Love’; watch the video above. The news follows the track’s premiere this evening as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’.
Recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, this is the band’s first full-length to feature new members Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams, following the departure of founding member Chris Urbanowicz in 2012.
“It’s been a long time since we released the last record,” frontman Tom Smith recently told DIY. “With ‘In This Light And On This Evening’, we toured it from 2009 right to the back end of 2010 really. So, from that point on, it’s been a funny couple of years.
“Our guitarist has gone and that event manifesting itself was obviously a hard time. There was tension and things weren’t right. We had been in a band for a long time and we were mates, so the period has not been without tension and conflict.”
