Editors return with ‘Call It In’, their first new music since 2022
Alongside news of their new single, the band have also schedule a huge UK and European tour for 2027.

Atmospheric rock band Editors have returned with their first new music since 2022, in the form of new single ‘Call It In’.
The band, who released their seventh album ‘EBM’ almost four years ago now, have shared their newest track, which was recorded last summer in amongst sessions that took place between live shows and recording for frontman Tom Smith’s solo LP ‘There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light’.
“We spent a lot of summer ‘25 holed up in rural Gloucestershire, working on songs with all of us in a room, in a more traditional band set up,” Smith has said, of those sessions. “‘Call It In’ is one of the newest songs we worked on, it’s a song about asking for help, really, in the presence of an existential dread, finding solace and comfort in someone close, escaping the deafening noise of modern life.”
Alongside news of their latest single, the quintet have also shared a video to accompany the track - as directed by the band’s own Justin Lockey - and announced plans for a hefty UK and European tour early next year, tickets for which go on sale from 11am local time in Europe on Thursday 30th April and 10am in the UK on Friday 1st May.
