Elke offers up new single ‘The Pink Tip Of A Match Turns Black’

With her debut album ‘No Pain For Us Here’ out on 24th September via Congrats Records, Elke is giving us the latest taste of what to expect, sharing new single ‘The Pink Tip Of A Match Turns Black’.

Produced by Paramore’s Zac Farro, Elke says, “I wrote ‘The Pink Tip Of A Match Turns Black’ after I had a falling out with a friend. Rather than digging into the feeling of the bad taste it left in my mouth, I made this song to be healing after a closure-less ending. It’s also for all people who’ve experienced miscommunication, and how catastrophic it can get. The song happened super seamlessly, and came the quickest production wise. Zac didn’t take long to come up with what each instrument should do, and I sang the song in one take. The byes at the end were all ad libbed. The song is the exact tone of melancholy I felt at that time and it helped me move on.”
