Exclusive: Bastille Give Away Live Version Of New Single, ‘Overjoyed’

To celebrate the release of Bastille’s new single ‘Overjoyed’, the band have given us a live version of the title track to give away; check it out exclusively below.

The release will hit stores - both digitally and on 7’, backed by ‘SleepSong’ - from 30th April, coinciding with two nights at Hoxton Hall, London (18th - 19th April). The band also have a third headline show coming up at The Scala (14th June), as well as appearances at Camden Crawl, RockNess and Dot To Dot.

We recently caught up with frontman Dan Smith, who told us about the darkness within his material: ‘Sonically or melodically they [the songs] might be more upbeat but if you listen to what they’re about they’re not necessarily happy.’

The full interview will appear in the May issue of DIY, out at the end of the month. Bastille’s debut album is scheduled for release on Virgin Records later this year.
