Exclusive: Watch: Twin Atlantic Perform ‘Yes, I Was Drunk’

DIY has an exclusive look at the Scottish foursome’s hometown performance.

DIY have an exclusive video of Twin Atlantic performing ‘Yes, I Was Drunk’ live at their Glasgow Academy last year.

The band played their largest hometown show to date back in December 2011, following the release of their debut full-length ‘Free’ earlier last year.

When the band recently played at London’s KOKO (17th April), we had a quick word with drummer Craig Kneale about what it felt like to be headlining such a massive show in their native land.

‘It was pretty mental! It was one of those ones where… We’re kind of in two camps. Me and Barry [McKenna] are the ones who are like, ‘No, no, no, it’s too big! Let’s not do it!’ Whereas, Ross [McNae] and Sam [McTrusty] are always saying, let’s go for it. To be fair, they’re usually right.’

‘It was just cool. There’s an extra pressure because all of your friends and family are there, and because it’s your hometown, it feels like it has to matter a bit more. It was definitely really scary - they always are - but I think we pulled it off!’

‘In the past, we’ve never been that happy with how hometown shows go. You can build it up in your head and then you’re always a bit disappointed, but this time, we still made mistakes, but I think we pulled it off more.’

Twin Atlantic are currently on their most recent headline tour, and have four shows left.
