Fall Out Boy cover Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’

The band took to Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today to perform the funky smash hit.

Fall Out Boy are gearing up to release their new album ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’ and, having now landed in London ahead of their show tomorrow night, decided to swing by BBC Radio 1 for a visit.

Heading into the Live Lounge with Fearne Cotton earlier today (13th January), the band performed two tracks: their single ‘Centuries’, as taken from their forthcoming sixth effort, and a special cover of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ funk-driven smash hit ‘Uptown Funk’.

A clear favourite for soul punk extraordinaire Patrick Stump, the band even gave it their own quirky spin, with the frontman calling out ‘Pete Wentz, get the stretch!’ midway through.

Check out a video of their performance below.

‘American Beauty / American Psycho’ - the follow-up to last year’s ‘Save Rock And Roll’ - is due for release next week on 19th January via Pete Wentz’s own DCD2 and Island Records. Its full tracklisting looks like this:

Irresistible
American Beauty/American Psycho
Centuries
The Kids Aren’t Alright
Uma Thurman
Jet Pack Blues
Novocaine
Fourth of July
Favorite Record
Immortals
Twin Skeleton’s (Hotel In NYC)

The band will be headlining a rather intimate show tomorrow night (14th January) at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
