Fanfarlo Confirm New Album

The band’s second full-length will be released in February.

Fanfarlo have confirmed the release details for their forthcoming new album. Following on from their 2009 debut ‘Reservoir’, their second full-length ‘Rooms Filled With Light’ is due on 27th February.

The LP was produced by Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Gnarls Barkley) and engineered by producer/engineer David Wrench (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything, Beth Orton) at North Wales’ Bryn Derwen Recording Studio.

Singer/main songwriter Simon Balthazar says of the release: ‘To me the record is really about what a weird and intense experience it is to just be alive and to try to make sense of the modern world with all its bewildering pressures and possibilities.’

The record is preceded by a single, ‘De.con.struc.tion’ - backed by a near 20-minute dissection and reassembly of the tune, titled ‘Deconstruction/Reconstruction’ - out this week. They also have a London date coming up, at Cargo on 21st November.
