Father John Misty covers Taylor Swift in his own style (ish)
Well, the giant banana on the SoundCloud page gives it away.
The day’s second biggest story was, of course, that Ryan Adams’ feature-length Taylor Swift cover - his reworking of the whole of ‘1989’ in the style of The Smiths - is out now.
And not content with being left out, Father John Misty’s now gone and added his own interpretation of ‘Blank Space’ - choosing to co-opt the sounds of The Velvet Underground in the process.
It’s worth a listen - and chuckle.
