Father John Misty flirts with himself in ‘The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apartment’ video
‘I Love You, Honeybear’ video sees Tillman in the midst of a fling.
Josh Tillman aka Father John Misty is a romantic, a law unto himself. And in the new video for ‘The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apartment’, he falls into the midst of a blossoming relationship - with his own reflection.
Together, Tillman 1 and Tillman 2 swim together, snort drugs together and - you guessed it - reach a passionate embrace.
Director Drew Pearce says this about the video: “This video is partially inspired by the LeBron James quote ‘It is precisely the superficial differences between people who are otherwise alike that inform the hostilities between them.’ Special thanks to my body double Tyler who I had to kiss no fewer than two dozen times and whose breath I can still smell in my mind’s eye. It has been an honor to explore the palpable sexual chemistry that exists between Josh Tillman and himself. I hope this video does their enduring love affair justice.”
