Father John Misty has deleted his Twitter and Instagram
Music’s reigning meme-lord has stepped down from the throne.
Terrible, earth-shattering news - Father John Misty has deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The accounts which spawned a thousand memes were deactivated overnight, though his Facebook and Snapchat accounts are still in place. In the run-up to the deletion, Father John Misty had been sharing the same in-the-studio video to his Instagram. Over, and over, and over again. As you do.
It comes towards the end of a year that’s seen Josh Tillman’s online presence get him in all kinds of odd situations - from claiming responsibility for the theft of a crystal from a Los Angeles café (and subsequently selling chunks of it as earrings), to sharing his lyrics to the House Of Cards theme song. He’s an odd bloke online, to be honest.
Father John Misty is yet to reveal the reason for his digital disappearance. Catch up with DIY’s interview with the singer, where we talk SecondLife, Instagram and Taylor Swift covers (remember those? What a world).
