Father John Misty shares “rejected Pandora promos”, obviously they’re ridiculous

Father John Misty can’t go one week without treating the Internet to some expert trolling.Josh Tillman’s previously shared meta covers of Ryan Adams covering Taylor Swift, before accrediting these covers to the “ghost of Lou Reed”. And now the ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ heart-throb has released a series of “rejected Pandora promos” to his Soundcloud. When these promos are good, they’re really good. For example: “Whether you’re snorting rails of Tide off priceless Matisse cutouts or stuck at home because of your dismal Uber rating, my customised mixtape is guaranteed to be 100% Ed Sheeran. That’s Ed Sheeran all the time on Father John Misty radio.”Elsewhere he mixes slap bass with the sound of explosions and the chant: “Radio just to be on the radio, but now it’s on the Internet, only from Pandora!”Either this is one elaborate joke, or Pandora really did offer Tillman “11 million impressions” and “not very much” for a bit of promo audio.Listen below.
