Fay Milton of Savages announces self-titled album from new project Goddess
The record comes alongside new single ‘Animal’, following previously shared ‘Shadows’.

Fay Milton of the Savages has announced details of the debut album to come from her new project Goddess. The self-titled debut release is due on 30th May via Bella Union records and will include previously released track ‘Shadows’ and brand new song ‘Animal’, which is out today.
In the new single, Milton details their unashamed surrender to desire: “I’m obsessed with the lyrics on this track — ’Excuse my behaviour, I’m nothing but an animal’ — who doesn’t relate to that at some point?,” they said.
“It feels like a bold reply to Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Closer’ but spun through a new perspective: it’s not about spiralling into chaos; it’s about owning your instincts, being powerful in your desires instead of destroyed by them.”
The desire to start her new collaborative project Goddess came while post punk four-piece Savages were on a hiatus. Milton, who is the drummer for the group, felt inspired to begin her own musical output, bringing together her community of women and non-binary folk from the London indie scene.
