Fictonian gets romantic with new ‘Mrs Jones’ single
The multi-instrumentalist is prepping for his debut album with the new track, premiering on DIY.
Gooey romance drips from everything Fictonian puts his name to, and latest single ‘Mrs Jones’ - premiering below on DIY - is no exception.
Set in a trippy, disorientating labyrinth, the accompanying video perfectly captures the dizzying haze of romance that ‘Mrs Jones’ is written around. “Send me your answers on a postcard,” he coos in awe at the eponymous object of his affections, “for you seem to know it all.” Backed by a warming embrace of hazy instrumentation that pitches him alongside the likes of UMO in the one-man-band talent stakes, the track marks out Fictonian’s upcoming debut album ‘Desire Lines’ as one to keep an eye on in the run up to its November 13th release.
Before that, though, Fictonian plays London’s Community festival on November 4th alongside fellow future-pop shining lights Pumarosa and The Japanese House. Check out the video for ‘Mrs Jones’ below, and pre-order ‘Desire Lines’ here.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
