Long time coming
Fleet Foxes have announced their first US show in six years
Robin Pecknold has also given another update on their upcoming album.
After revealing some of their touring plans for 2017 back in December, Fleet Foxes have finally confirmed their first US show in a whopping six years.
They’ll be headlining the first day at the Newport Folk Festival, which runs from 28th-30th July at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. This year they’re already set for Vida Festival, Bilbao BBK and Iveagh Gardens in Dublin, as well as Piazza Castello in Turin.
After saying that the band’s new album was “alllllmost done” back in November, Robin Pecknold gave another update on the long-awaited follow-up to ‘Helplessness Blues’ on Instagram. He posted a short video that plays a harmony heavy track and commented “songs soon! Out of my hands now”. Seems like that new album might be closer than expected then.
