Update
Fleet Foxes’ new album is “alllllmost done”
They’ve also confirmed their first show in five years.
Robin Pecknold is a busy guy right now. Not only has he been working on a solo album, but now a new Fleet Foxes record is just around the corner too.
In April, the band revealed that they were ending their hiatus to work on the follow up to 2011’s ‘Helplessness Blues.’ Now they’ve posted a historical photograph on Facebook (Hiroshi Hamaya’s ‘Eruption at Mount Tokachi, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, 1962,’ to be exact) and replied to a comment asking about a new record, saying “alllllmost done.” Good things come to those who wait, right?
See the band’s messages below and watch the video for ‘Grown Ocean’ from ‘Helplessness Blues.’
Update:
Fleet Foxes now look to have confirmed their first live show in five years.
The group are set to play Bilbao BBK Live next summer. Spanish radio station SER reportedly announced their slot, with Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold responding on Instagram: “did they announce? can’t wait! First stop Guggenheim.”
