Florence + The Machine announces new album ‘High As Hope’ with single ‘Hunger’
The new record will feature Sampha, Jamie xx, Tobias Jesso Jr, Kamasi Washington and more.
After sharing new track ‘Sky Full Of Song’ recently, Florence + The Machine has announced details of her fourth album!
‘High As Hope’ will come out on 29th June via Virgin EMI, and is being previewed by huge first single ‘Hunger’.
Recorded in her native South London home of Peckham as well as in Los Angeles, the record features collaborations from friends such as Sampha, Jamie xx, Tobias Jesso Jr and Kamasi Washington.
As Florence explains of ‘Hunger’, “this song is about the ways we look for love in things that are perhaps not love, and how attempts to feel less alone can sometimes isolate us more.
“I guess I made myself more vulnerable in this song to encourage connection, because perhaps a lot more of us feel this way than we are able to admit. Sometimes when you can’t say it, you can sing it.”
