Flume shares ten-minute remix of Arcade Fire’s ‘Afterlife’

Hear the Reading & Leeds Dance Stage headliner coin a beast of his own.

Aussie producer Harley Streten isn’t a stranger to big-name remixes as Flume, but this might top the bill.

The 22-year-old Sydney resident has been given the task of reinterpreting ‘Afterlife’ by Arcade Fire. It’s a remix that begins completely distorted, getting by on “ooh” choral hums and the near-maddening chants of Win Butler. It eventually morphs into the monster it was destined to be, but not by any conventional means.

Next weekend (22nd-24th August) sees Flume headlining the Dance Stage at Reading & Leeds festival. He headlines on the Sunday night, 24th August.
