Foo Fighters Announce Behind-The-Scenes Documentary Series
The band are planning to create an eight-part documentary highlighting the making of their forthcoming album.

As anticipation continues to build for the forthcoming album from Foo Fighters, the band have confirmed plans to unveil an eight-part documentary going behind-the-scenes of its creation.
Set to air on HBO, the documentary sees the band as they travel to the eight different cities in which their forthcoming full-length has been made.
Travelling to Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC and New York and writing a song in each, the band’s frontman Dave Grohl has called the album ‘a love letter to the history of American music.’ It’s also been revealed that the lyrics for each song have been written in ‘a uniquely experimental style’, which saw Grohl waiting until the last possible moment to put pen to paper in a bid to have each city’s essence inspire him.
Premiering on eve of the band’s 20th anniversary, the as-yet-untitled documentary was also directed by Grohl, and features an array of interviewees including the band’s own members.
A press release on the series confirms that the new album is out this ‘Fall’ via Roswell / RCA.
