Foo Fighters reach for the stars in the video for ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood’

With their new album ‘Concrete and Gold’ coming out next month, Foo Fighters have unveiled a brand new video for ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood!

In it, Dave Grohl and co perform on top of a log cabin in the woods underneath the stars, while two children Dave’s own, Harper and Violet!) dream of exploring the cosmos -and sort of lament their dad being all noisy. Eventually, the whole area becomes a glimmering landscape of technicoloured beams. Pretty!

Speaking about the track, Dave said: “One night I was lying out looking up at stars, just imagining all of these stars as places that have life on them as well, and I decided that the sky is a neighborhood, that we need to keep our shit together in order to survive in this universe full of life. But I had no music yet. I just had the title. So everyday I would walk around, kind of humming this thing in my head”.

As well as revealing the video, the band have also announced that they’re launching a new constellation viewer, enabling fans to transform their phone into a tool to explore the skies above them. If you’re viewing on your phone, you can access the constellation viewer here.
