Foo Fighters Prove Just How Hard They Rock
Foo Fighters shaking the earth… Just part of the day job.

During their recent show in Auckland, New Zealand, Foo Fighters caused three hours of sustained tremors.
New Zealand media reported that nearby monitoring stations in Herne Bay and Eden Park picked up tremors consistent with those generated by a volcanic event—except that the shaking coincided precisely with the Foo Fighters performance. The Geonet blog even reported ‘lulls in the signal between the songs and peaks in signal intensity during the songs.’
Foo Fighters played their three hour long set on the 13th December at Auckland, New Zealand’s Western Springs Stadium for 50,000 people.
The show was the conclusion of their record-breaking run of Australia/New Zealand stadium shows, and the final date of the Wasting Light tour in 2011.
So, there you go. The scientists have spoken.
