Pieces of eight
Foo Fighters share another clip from new album ‘Sonic Highways’
Check out another bite-sized clip from Foo Fighters forthcoming album.
Foo Fighters know how to tease out a new record. When first unveiling their new studio album ‘Sonic Highways’, they treated us to an eight second blood curdling Dave Grohl scream as a way of introduction. Now they’ve shared another bite-sized clip.
A rolling riff, the snippet comes as the band receive the test pressing of the album, ‘Sonic Highways’, set for release on November 10th via Rosewell Records. You can check it out below, along with a trailer for the band’s forthcoming HBO series of the same name.
‘Sonic Highways’ was recorded in eight different studios across North America - Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington DC, and New York - with each city providing a guest musician (eg. Eagles’ Joe Walsh for Los Angeles), and every song being devoted to the city of choice.
There’s also going to be nine different album covers available: one representing each of the eight cities that inspired the record, along with one final piece of artwork, suitably dubbed their ‘forever’ cover.
Sonic Highways Tracklist:
01. Something From Nothing (4:49)
02. The Feast and the Famine (3:50)
03. Congregation (5:12)
04. What Did I Do?/God As My Witness (5:44)
05. Outside (5:15)
06. In the Clear (4:04)
07. Subterranean (6:08)
08. I Am a River (7:09)
