Foo Fighters to headline Glastonbury Festival
First headliner for the Somerset bash confirmed.
After months of speculation, Glastonbury have confirmed that the Foo Fighters will be headlining the Friday of the festival.
Last appearing at the festival in 1998, Foo Fighters released their 8th studio album, ‘Sonic Highways’, in November of last year accompanied by an HBO TV show of the same name. The band are currently touring Australia and New Zealand before heading to Europe for a string of stadium shows including two nights at Wembley Stadium.
Glastonbury Festival takes place June 24th-28th 2015. Coldplay and Taylor Swift are among the names rumoured to fill the remaining headline slots, while Florence + The Machine are waiting for their phonecall from Micheal Eavis. Other confirmed names: Lionel Richie and the Dalai Lama.
