Frank Iero gets bloody in new video for ‘Joyriding’

Having first debuted the track just under a month ago, Frank Iero - under his new solo guise of Frnkiero andthe Cellabration - has now revealed his video for ‘Joyriding’.

Following on from the release of his debut album ‘stomachaches’, which dropped at the end of August, and his first video for ‘Weighted’, the former My Chemical Romance guitarist has offered up another rather gruesome clip.

After dabbling in murderous rampages for his first visual offering, the guitarist’s latest clip is a little more simple. It features Iero and his band performing in a bright white room - with bright white clothes, for good measure - before things take a rather bloody turn. And when we say bloody, we mean there’s lots and lots of the stuff.

Again teaming up with director duo Ghost + Cow - aka Brandon LeGanke and John Carlucci - Iero has said the following of the clip: “This is a video I had seen in my head for a long time. I honestly thought it was going to be easier to pull off than it was. When you imagine it, you think, “oh, this doesn’t sound that difficult…”, but when you begin to fully realize what needs to happen, in what specific order things need to happen, and what can get ruined and stained in the process… the task becomes a bit daunting. We ended up building a room in my backyard, shooting the video, and then tearing the room down in a span of 17 hours. The very next day we shot the video for ‘Weighted’.”
