Frankie Knuckles greatest hits album, ‘House Masters: Frankie Knuckles’ to be released this month

Defected Records have announced the release of a greatest hits album for the late Frankie Knuckles, scheduled for a release on 26th April. Titled, ‘House Masters: Frankie Knuckles’ the compilation will be available digitally and on CD.

Knuckles began work on the album in February 2014, personally picking his tracks ‘The Whistle Song, ‘Your Love’ and ‘Tears’, and his remixes of Pet Shop Boys, Chaka Khan and Hercules & Love Affair for the release. The tracklist is as follows:

All proceeds will go to the Frankie Knuckles Fund, a foundation created and overseen by the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Frankie Knuckles passed away in May 2014 after developing complications with diabetes.

In a statement issued by Resident Advisor, Elton John said: “This is a great mixture of Frankie’s work; it shows his spirit and love of artists. His artistry will always be at the forefront of dance music and so will his energy.”
