Fräulein share new single ‘Pet’

The Northern Irish/Dutch duo are off on a headline tour later this year.

Fräulein are sharing their brand new single ‘Pet’, their first new music since the release of their debut EP ‘A Small Taste’ last year. “The word ‘pet’ means a lot to me” explains the duo’s Joni Samuels. “…I love it because it can be a term of endearment, but it can also be slightly patronizing. This theme fits nicely with the cyclical riff of the track, a kind of pattern that you can’t get out of.” In our review of last year’s debut EP, we said, “While so clearly forged in the mould of its predecessors - The Breeders, PJ Harvey to name but two - there’s a freshness to Fräulein’s tune which shouldn’t be ignored.” Revisit our full review of ‘A Small Taste’ here, and check out new single ‘Pet’ below. See Fräulein live at the following dates: FEBRUARY 22 London St Moritz Club APRIL 15 Leeds Headrow House 21 Bristol Crofters Rights 22 Southampton Heartbreakers 26 Brighton Prince Albert 27 London The George Tavern
