Festivals: Friendly Fires and Yungblud join Isle Of Wight line-up, stepping in for the absent Cage The Elephant and Sam Fender

Isle Of Wight make their substitutions after a serious injury rules out Cage The Elephant

Earlier today we brought you the news that owing to a low-key-horrific leg injuryto their guitarist, Cage The Elephant will no longer be playing Isle Of Wight Festival this weekend.

Fear not, dear festival-goer, because the event have announced two tremendous eleventh-hour replacements for them and the unwell Sam Fender, with Friendly Fires and Yungblud to take their places on the lineup.

In what’, let’s face it, is essentially an upgrade, both will be playing on Saturday night on the Big Top stage, headlined that night by the mighty Garbage.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, George Ezra, Fatboy Slim, Biffy Clyro, Hacienda Classical and Keane will also be performing.
