Reading 2013: Frightened Rabbit: “I Think My Camping Days Are Behind Me”
Scott Hutchinson psyches himself up for the band’s Reading Fest set, 23rd August.

are set to play a storming set at Reading Fest tonight (August 23rd), wedged in between Bastille and Peace on the NME/Radio 1 stage.
Playing the bulk of their ‘Pedestrian Verse’ album, out now on Atlantic, speaking to DIY in the midst of an epic search for breakfast, Scott Hutchinson from the band couldn’t hide his excitement:
‘[Festivals were] a great way for people like us who grew up in small towns to see loads of our favourite bands in one go,’ before admitting. ‘Though I think my camping days are now behind me.’
‘I like the way people allow themselves to get caught up in a festival show’, Hutchinson says. ‘It seems people are less reserved and that adds a great deal to the atmosphere and how we feel on stage.’
Scott’s planning on sticking around to catch Deftones this evening - ‘they’re one of my favourite bands and I’ve never had a chance to see them play live’ - before the band’s tour takes them to Leeds tomorrow night (August 24th) and End of the Road fest (30th).
Frightened Rabbit play in Reading Festival’s NME/Radio 1 stage at 16.50 this afternoon. Click here to read DIY’s Reading festival live blog.
